Inukshuk Lodge accommodates a maximum of 6 rods per week and the season runs from mid-July to late August. . You will arrive at the Lodge on Sunday and depart the Lodge the following Sunday. You’ll fish six full days amidst the spectacular, unspoiled beauty that is Ungava Bay. This extremely remote area of the North is noted for fantastic fishing for Arctic char, Atlantic salmon, and sea-run brook trout. You’ll be fishing any of several rivers and on the ocean coastline. Both fly fishing and spin fishing are allowed, barbless hooks only. Atlantic salmon and brook trout are catch and release species, however our guests are allowed to bring 2 Arctic char home with them, and you’ll enjoy classic shore lunches with fresh-caught char. Recommendations and suggestions for tackle will be provided as will gear lists and recommended items.

Your guides will be vastly experienced, English-speaking, great guys whose purpose is to provide you with the trip of your lifetime! Ice bergs, countless sea birds, and a wide variety of wildlife will provide endless opportunities for photo opportunities, not the least of which will be you with your huge char!

Fishermen will enjoy warm, weatherproof sleeping and dining areas in our Quonset buildings. Modern amenities including generator-created electricity, flush toilets and hot showers are provided.

Meals are hearty and healthy so you’ll begin your day with a huge breakfast and then it will either into the boats for char fishing in the Bay or off to one of the nearby rivers for salmon and brook trout. Shore lunches are the norm here with fresh-caught char, vegetables, and that staple of shore lunches everywhere in the North, hot tea, prepared by your guides. Alternatives to char will be provided for those who are not fish fans.
