Anticosti Island is a whitetail deer hunters paradise! Located in the mouth of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the Island isĀ 135 miles long and varies from 10 to 30 miles wide. Over one hundred years ago, 220 whitetail deer were introduced on to the Island. Today the whitetail population numbers over 130,000!
Hunters are allowed 2 deer of either sex. Your guide will see that your deer are properly handled, quartered, deboned and prepared for your return. Guides are English-speaking professionals who are intimately familiar with the deer and their habits. There is NO HISTORY of the presence of CWD on Anticosti, ever. Hunts are done via spot and stalk hunts from cleared trails, from ground or elevated comfortable, dry blinds. Those with mobility issues will hunt from roads using heavy-duty 4wd pick-ups. Your guides are very willing to structure your hunt around your physical abilities and preferences. Make no mistake this is a world-class whitetail experience with a superb outfitter.
