The owner of the McKenzie River Lodge has now set his sights on another unique destination and has purchased Inukshuk Lodge, an arctic char lodge on the east side of Ungava Bay. Arctic char are the principal fishery here but, in season, Atlantic salmon and sea-run brook trout are also here. In case you hadn’t noticed, Ungava Bay is a looooooooong way from anywhere!!! The Owner has just returned from camp and is working to finalize access for 2018…likely air flights into Kuujjjuaq, then a short flight across the bay to the camp…Max 6 rods in camp, fishing five full days, with accommodations in Quonset-style buildings with modern amenities.
Please note: This lodge will be open for only four to five weeks, due to the short season. We will begin taking deposits for these extremely limited number of openings starting in September.
Do I dare mention the viewing of polar bears they had this year????? I’m taking at least one group to Inukshuk, starting the week of August 5 to 12 next year. All pertinent details, pricing, flights, etc, are now available.
